Unlike some other manufacturers, we ensure that our tack has smooth, folded edges that go away from the horse, preventing any potential rubbing. Biothane tack is incredibly easy to care for—simply dunk it in a bucket or rinse it off after each use to keep it looking great. It has the appearance of leather, lasts for years, and is suitable for various riding disciplines. We exclusively use stainless steel or solid brass hardware whenever possible to maintain the new look of your tack for years.
For the underlay, we use the highest quality matte-finished Beta Biothane made in the USA. This material is soft, supple, and designed for your horse's comfort. The underlay color will be the main or underneath color of your tack. Beta Biothane has a leather-like look and feel, and it comes in various thicknesses. It won't chafe your horse and will mold to your horse with use.
The overlay color, typically placed on the brow and nose, serves as an accent color. You can choose between traditional Biothane, a shiny material, or the matte-finished Beta as your overlay or accent color.
